Regional

Every year in May, Lace City Chorus participates in our regional contest. Choruses and quartets from Scotland, England, Wales and the Netherlands come together to sing and compete. This year's contest was at the Sage in Gateshead.  As the retiring regional champions, we sang for evaluation in preparation for the international competition in October, as well as appearing in the Show of Champions. International

Annually during the Autumn the winners of all regional contests, and a few "wildcards" gather together at International competition. In 2009 International competition will be held in Nashville, Tennessee from 20th to 26th October.  Lace City Chorus, as 2008 regional champions, will be competing in the contest.  Perhaps a little too far for you to travel to see us perform, however, you can view the contest on a live webcast on the Sweet Adeline International website.  Click on the Nashville link below for more inforrmation.
