Yee-hah! Back from Nashville The chorus have recently returned from participation in the Sweet Adelines International chorus championships in Nashville, Tennessee where we placed 20th in a field of 33 regional champion choruses from across the globe. Your can watch our performance on our media page. Congratulations to the Rich Tone Chorus from Dallas, Texas on winning the contest with a magnificent all time record score. Congratulations also to our fellow Brits, Surrey Harmony Chorus, who placed 15th overall. All-in-all a good result for the 'Quartet of Nations' region.
Lace City in the West End On Sunday 20 September, Lace City Chorus were privileged to open the British Barbershop show at the London Palladium and to share the stage with champion choruses and quartets from the three barbershop organisations in the UK. It was a first outing for our new green costumes - and green eye make-up! We even had the opportunity to entertain the un-expecting crowd in Carnaby Street as we warmed up for our performance.
Lace City at the Sweet Adelines Annual Convention and Competition 2009 In May 2009, Lace City took the stage at the Sage Gateshead, where we sang for evaluation in preparation for our appearance on the international stage in October. We were delighted with some very positive feedback from the judging panel. We also had the priviledge to sing on the Saturday evening show of champions where we entertained the audience with our tribute to Abba complete with wigs and sparkly jumpsuits! We'd like to extend our thanks to the Region 31 Management & Competion Teams for all their hard work in putting on another fantastic regional convention, and to all our many friends and supporters in the region.
